Our Newest Family member.......

This is our newest family member....CODY! He joins our sweet dog Bandit who would not cooperate for a picture of the two of them together. We "adopted" him over Thanksgiving break when Danny's Great Aunt had a mild stroke and is not able to care for him while in rehab. He is very big, but is very big at heart and thinks he is a lap dog. He traveled all the way from St. Louis in the backseat of our car next to Abigail...and his head on the armrest trying to get lovin. Abigail loves him and runs around the yard after him. Cody is mixed Rotweiler and Shar'Pei
This is Cody with his RED ball from Missouri. If you need a good laugh just come and watch him with the ball...it is very funny....we call the ball Wilson.

THE CHANDELIER...........

Well....this chandelier has been in the making for a long.......time. When Abigail was about to turn four I started to look around for a chandelier for her room. I wanted to make it a little more girlie. So, we looked around at a lot of different places, looked with Ru Ru and Pa Pa, and looked some more. I could not find what I wanted..for the price I wanted. Well, Abigail on the other hand knew exactly what she wanted....BIG and Sparkly!!! One time when I was in Lowes to get something...not a chandelier.....Abigail looked at me with her eyes as big as they could get and said....Stop mama.....I stopped and she said with all seriousness.....THAT IS THE ONE! I turned around and there was the biggest light in Lowes, overflowing with lights, beads, and crystals. It was of course over $1000.....at least she has great taste. I told her that it was beautiful, but we had to be able to fit it through the front door to get it to her room...so we slowly walked away from "THE ONE". Well, I began looking for old lights at yard sales and put Pa Pa and Ru Ru on the same task......well this is our final product......a $5 light from a garage sale, a great paint job, new lights, and a lot of stringing of glass beads and crystals. Needless to say.....Abigial is very excited about her "NEW" Chandelier and shows everyone that walks into our house!!! Working hard for his girls!!!!

The Finished Product!

THE ZOO

Last Friday we took a trip to the ZOO! We had so much fun. My friends Mandy and Martha, along with their children, Caroline, Will, Joe Gunn, and Hollyn joined Abigail and I on an adventure. It was a beautiful day to enjoy God's beautiful creations! It seemed at times that we were the only people at the zoo, so the kids had a lot of freedom to run ahead and enjoy themselves. As mothers it was great because we did not have to search for them or keep them close all day. We were able to see a lot of the animals up and moving because it was a nice cool morning. While watching the elephants and looking for the zebras we had snack time and then off to see the monkeys. It was so awesome when we strolled up to the chimps.......there was a zoo keeper standing there feeding the chimps. He was so nice and talked to us for a long time answering all of our questions. The best part was getting to see the little baby...aka...Mo Joe.
The zoo keeper said he was born in March and showed us who the mother and father were. He was the cutest little thing. Us moms more more intrigued than the kids! We had a wonderful picnic lunch, many.........trips down the elephant slide and of course it is not a visit to the zoo with out a ride on the carousel. It was a wonderful day with wonderful friends, that ended with a really long nap!!!
I LOVE GIRAFFES.......They are beautiful creatures!

WAY BEHIND........MUCH TO POST.......

Well...as you can see by the title I am once again way behind. I have not one good excuse this time. I even have the "real" internet at my house now...so really not one excuse. So I am going to put a lot of stuff together and then post some other big stuff later.
We had a very busy, crazy and fast summer. It did not even feel like summer(well the humidity did) . We traveled to St. Louis for a baby shower for my oldest brother and sister in law, which they now have a beautiful baby girl, and we are so anxious to see her. We spent time with Danny's family and then came home for summer football camps. After camps were over we went to my parents house in Arkansas to visit. In July we made a quick trip to the coast to see our wonderful friends(post of trip later), Danny did a triathalon, and then football started. We are now beginning a 10 week streak of football every weekend. We love it....Abigail especially. From the players, to the cheerleaders and her all time favorite coach(DADDDY) she is in pure delight. It is almost scary....she is beginning to understand the game and all that it entails. I have to think some of the questions through....wish that coach was in the stands to answer them better!!! So, GO BLAZERS and I will post some game pictures soon.
One of the highlights from the summer was babysitting MOLLY! Abigail thought she was the mom and has a real baby for a week. Our friends went to the beach so we offered to keep the dog........Abigail was not ready to give her back. It was fun to see Abigail take a big role in responsibility. She took Molly out every morning when she woke up, fed her, helped give her a bath(BIG HIGHLIGHT!) and loved on the dog all day long. One day her friends came over to play and Abigail proceeded to tell them that she could not play because she had to babysit the dog. Obviously I told her that I would take over her duties and she could go play........but she came home soon....just to check on the dog!!!!!!!
Abigail and Molly cuddling!
Keeping Molly warm after her bath.

Showing Daddy how she was holding her like a baby after her bath!

GREAT GRANDMA LOWERY

When Danny starts 2-a-days, Abby and I tend to skip town. He is so busy and stays in the dorms or office all night, it kind of helps him not to have to worry about us at home.....and gives us something fun to do. This year we went to my Grandmas house for a week. Of course Pa Pa and Ru Ru could not have us there without them so they joined us. It was a fun week. We rode bikes, went to antique stores, the Childrens Museum TWICE, out to eat and best of all spent time with Grandma. My Grandma is almost 98 so she has a few notches under her belt. She is still very witty, and sews or crochets everyday in her chair. She makes beautiful quilts and afgans. Abigail was determined that Grandma was going to teach her how to crochet. She tried several times but it did not work very well. Maybe next time! I love seeing them together and Abigail could not get enough of Grandma. She wanted to be wherever Grandma was.

I love this picture of thier hands together! It is my favorite!!!

Trying so hard to learn!!!!

Poppin beans for supper!

Time for lesson #2

Getting Sugar!!!

AVERY AND MALLORY
Marie and the girls came over one day to play and we had a blast. We tried to get a really cute picture of the girls together but they were being so silly..........so here is the best we could get!!!

BEWARE........YOU MAY ITCH OR GAG WHEN LOOKING AT THIS!

Danny was cutting the lawn a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty long. Well....the neighbor girls and Abby were out playing and gathering up the clipping and making piles. I did not see any harm in that, so I continued to make dinner. The next thing I knew was this................................

WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!!!!
It had to itch!!!!!

I hope this picture at least made you giggle!!!!

They stuffed their clothes with the grass and had to be stripped down to nothing and hosed off to go home....and mine to step foot into the house!!!
