TRIATHALON

Several weeks ago we went with our friends Matt and Mandy and their kids Caroline and Will, to the Neshoba County Fair. We went so that Danny could do the Heart O' Dixie Triathalon. He had been training for awhile and then could not register because it was full. Well, about a week before the triathalon he got a call that they were acccepting more people. He ended up being number 427 out of 431. With a 5 second interval start, that meant he was starting about 34 minutes after the first person. He had to wait a long time!!! Matt was out of the water and on his bike by the time Danny was just getting in the water. It was a lot of fun for Mandy and I. We got the girls up really early (5:45) and got to the start right on time! After Danny was out of the water we took off to drive to the next location. We missed them at the bike transition so that we could see them running. Mandy's grandparents live on the road that they run on to get the the fair grounds. So we waited out in the yard to cheer our guys on to the finish.....and to feed the girls and have a bathroom break. The guys did a great job and we are so proud of them! Way to go DANNY! Waiting for Daddy to get into the water!

Cow Appreciation Day!!

We LOVE Chick-fil-a! I think Abigail could go there everyday for lunch if she could. Not only do they have great food, they are an amazing company! The company is very grounded in Christ, closed on Sundays, awesome to employees, always courteous to patrons and very supportive of FCA! So...we love it for more than the food!! On with the cows.........Anna called Friday morning and said lets dress the girls like cows and go to Chick-fil-a for cow appreciation day...of course I said yes immediately. They were the cutest cows ever and because they were dressed up as cows they received their food for free. It was fun seeing all the people dressed as cows....no Anna and I did not dress up! The girls were not still for long so I only have one good picture. Anna got a few more...they are on her blog! I just wish I would have taken a picture of their backside...they had the cutest cow tails!!!! Thanks for such a great lunch date GIRLS!

Abigail and Caroline

Abigail and Caroline love to play together and looking alike makes it even more fun! Mandy and I made pants for the girls that matched and I monogrammed some cute tank tops from Target...and now you have to adorable girls loving every moment of looking alike. I was getting ready to go run errands with the girls and asked them to get their stuff ready and stand by the door...this is what I found. Too cute. They had their babies and bags all ready for the "trip".

A while back we went to the Renaissance Mall for an Art Festival. Of course the best thing about it was playing in the water. Sweet Will was with us...but I did not get any pictures of him. Sorry buddy. I captured a few sweet pictures of the girls having a blast. I love the smiles and laughter you can capture from children!!!!!

First SALON haircut!

While we were in Arkansas taking care of Pa Pa, Ru Ru set us up with haircut appointments. Abigail was so excited. She had never been to a salon to get her haircut. She got first class treatment and had a smile on her face the entire time. They even gave her something to drink while her hair was being fixed and she thought she was hot stuff.Getting her hair washed....wondering why mom does not do it this well.

Picking Fowers

Well, on Mothers day morning we had quite a scare. At 4 in the morning my mom called to say that my dad was being rushed to the hospital with a heart attack. Within several hours they had him in surgery and on the up hill battle. Of course Abigail could not handle that fact that her Pa Pa was in the hospital and she could not be there to take care of him. I wanted to be there in case mom needed any help taking care of him....because if you do not know him he is very stubborn. He does not like to sit still. So we packed up and drove 9 hours to Arkansas to be nurses. We surprised my Dad and when we got there the first thing he said was he had to call his Dr. so that he could go home to be with his grandbaby. They did let him out the next morning and the rest of the week Abigail took care of him...took him on his three walks a day, made him nap every afternoon, and bandaged him up like any good nurse would. Thank the Lord Pa Pa is doing really well now. He still has to take it a little easy, but he is golfing about everyday again! Picking flowers for Ru Ru after one of his afternoon walks.

Ballet Camp

Well, we decided to attempt ballet camp again this year. Abigail absolutely loved it last year....... after it was over. She cried two of the three days I dropped her off and at the performance she just stood on stage with her finger in her mouth. It was cute, but I was a little concerned about this year. She talked about it for months, so off we went. Needless to say I had nothing to worry about. She took off every morning to her teacher and led her friends along with her. Every night she performed for Daddy and I and she said her favorite thing about ballet was being on the stage. I think I might have a little performer! The best thing about ballet camp at church is that everything is surrounded around Jesus. The music, bible verses, the make believe in the dances. The first day I asked Abigail what she learned and she said"About Jesus". What a wonderful experience she had and now she is continuing ballet with Ms. Jocelyn at church on Wed. mornings!
